According to the weatherman, the minimum temperature during this month reaches anywhere between 10 to 14 degree Celsius. There have been rare occasions when the minimum temperature during February dropped below 5 degree Celsius. One such occasion was on February 1, 1929 when the mercury dipped to 2.8 degree Celsius.
The maximum temperature generally rises to 27 degree Celsius in the beginning of the month and gradually reaches as high as 32 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature of February till now was 37.9 degree Celsius on February 21, 2006.
The average rainfall witnessed in February is 2.5 mm but the amount of rainfall varies from year to year. The highest average monthly rainfall was 39.9 mm in 1888 and highest rainfall for a particular day was 32.0 mm on February 22, 1888.
