Don't panic to get a '24 Carat Midas Touch' but just step inside Punjab National Bank or the one day long exhibition cum sale organised at Hotel Asia Jammu to feel the 'Midas Touch'.

Surprisingly the bank will offer a 3 per centrebate on every purchase as a festivity bonanza to the customers, officials informed.

Crowd in PNB wouldn't be the response to the new shift in interest rates but the Gold Rush coule be and keeping in view the response in various branches, the bank is going to showcase its valued products in the exhibition cum sale at Hotel Asia on Thursday, officials informed.

In this competitive era of banking system, unlike other banks the Punjab National Bank has come up with the 'selling of pure Gold to gold lovers' from November 16 following the government guidelines.

"21 branches of the PNB including few from the state have also become the show window for 'Pure Gold Selling Scheme'", a senior executive of PNB
at Shalimar Road Branch said.

Senior manager KK Gandotra talking to HT said that the bank has offered 4 denominations in the two shapes of coins and in the shape of biscuits. "The denominations of 5.0 gms, 8.0 gms and 10.0 gms are in the shape of coins while the 20.0 gms are in the shape of biscuits", he said.

"The choice is of the buyer. Whatever he prefers he would get from the bank", he said. Replying to a question he said, "Gold beauty of 999.9 per cent purity could be through cash and bank transactions."

General Manager PNB Shalimar Road Mohan Sharma informing about this said that the said exhibition would remain open from 11.00 am - 4.00 pm,
showcase the gold coins of all denominations with purity worth 999.9 per cent

rebate on every purchase as an inaugural bonanza to the customers.

Gold coins can be purchased as an ideal gift, as investment and even for getting jewellerydesigned from pure gold, general manager PNB added.

Gold lovers now are balancing their choices upon the affinity with the local dealer on the quality of gold while some prefer it from the banking system.
