Six persons suspected to be suffering from dengue have been admitted to the KG Medical University in Lucknow while others were being treated in private hospitals, they said.

Two persons had died of the disease in the city last month.

In a bid to check the disease from spreading, health authorities have initiated a number of measures including fogging in the densely populated areas.

Intensive fogging was undertaken in several areas of the state capital on Saturday evening, sources added.
