States and union territories going to poll - Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Chandigarh and Puducherry

Total voters - 107.8 million

Total candidates - 1,432

Women candidates - 93

Polling stations - 121,632

Total polling officials - 500,000

Observers - 254 (plus 10 additional observers)

Villages and hamlets found vulnerable - 5,995
