A case has been registered against three persons including school Director Rakesh Khullar and Principal Seema Jairath, a police spokesman said.

Rajesh Singh — a parent —said several students of class VII were singled out by the school authorities on the pretext that they had not completed their homework.

“These students were not allowed to go for a movie that day like other students that day and were confined to a class room till the others returned,” said Singh. “All these children were those whose parents had not paid the hiked fee.”

DLF Parents’ association has also alleged mental and physical harassment of their children by school authorities over the non-payment of hiked school fees.

DLF Public School Director Rakesh Khullar described the allegations as “baseless”. “Parents have resorted to such action as they have no relief on the fee-hike issue,” he said.

The matter of fee hike is presently under the Allahabad High Court’s consideration where several parents’ associations, public schools and state officials are party to the case.
