A case was filed against BSP MLA from Cantt Virendra Singh and his 10 supporters late last night after priest's grand daughter Rachna Goswami filed a written complaint against them.

Gokaran Giri, mahant of famous Ghopeshwar Nath temple was missing since yesterday morning and his body was later recovered from a pond near temple last night.

The priest's grand daughter alleged that the MLA and his supporters abducted Giri from the temple premises and later killed him, they said.

Meanwhile, the MLA turned down the allegations as "baseless" and claimed that his political rivals were trying to tarnish his image.
