Police said a cadre of United National Liberation Front (UNLF) was apprehended at Bishenpur. In a separate raid by the Army, three ultras of the same outfit were arrested from the same district.

In another incident a cadre of People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) was nabbed by Assam Rifles.
