Police said Vishal Purohit, Sudama Namdev, Arvind Sahu, Raja and Shakti Baghel were arrested. They were later produced in court and released on bail on furnishing personal bonds of Rs 5,000 each.

Those arrested include two office-bearers of the Bajrang Dal and the rest are members, according to police. Vishal, a resident of Bairagarh, and Sudama, resident of Govindpura, are office-bearers of the Dal.
Regarding the provocation behind the attack, the accused have asserted that they had got information that efforts were on
to proselytise certain sections. However, the accused have not confessed their involvement in the attack as yet, sources said.
Police are trying to ascertain the identity of the remaining attackers. Former MLA PC Sharma will lead a march from Anna Nagar to Govindpura police station on Wednesday to protest the delay in arrest of all those responsible for the attack. The march will start at 12 noon.
