Five injured in bomb explosion in Bihar

The police arrested the three injured criminals while as many managed to escape.

Five persons, including a woman and a minor, were injured in bomb explosion at Begampur in the Chowk police station area in Patna on Friday.

Senior superintendent of police Kundan Krishnan said that half-a-dozen criminals, armed with bombs and firearms, were planning some crime, but statrted running as soon as they saw a police patrol party approaching.

In their hurry to escape, two bombs fell on the ground from a polythene bag they were carrying, injuring three criminals, a woman and a child who were passing by.

The police arrested the three injured criminals while as many managed to escape. A search is on for them.

Three live crude bombs were recovered from the spot, the SP said.
