Five persons were killed and 27 others injured in separate road accidents in different parts of Jammu division in the last 24 hours, police said on Monday.
Two persons were killed and 13 others injured when a matador, which was on its way from Dool to Kishtwar, turned turtle and skidded off the road at Qehwana in Kishtwar district this afternoon, they said.
All the injured have been shifted to district hospital at Kishtwar, they said.
In other incidents, one Pawan Kumar was knocked to death by a truck at Gurha Morh in Samba district and a motorcyclist Farman Ali was killed in a collision with a car on Vijaypur-Bari Brahaman road.
Another person identified as Mohammad Latief was killed when a car on way from Jammu to Srinagar rolled down into a deep nullah near Magarkote in Ramban district, they said.
Fourteen other people were injured in different road accidents in Jammu division and have been admitted in different hospitals for treatment, they said.
