Five minors killed, nine injured in Bihar road accident

Five minors were killed and nine others injured when a tractor in which they were travelling in hit a truck coming from the opposite direction in Begusarai district on Wednesday.

Superintendent of Police Vinay Kumar said all those killed in the accident were residents of Hardia village and were going to Khamhar village to cut sugarcane.

The accident that occurred near Khamhar under Mufasil police station left Marjina Khatoon, Afroji Khatoon, Jubera Khatoon, Quabela Khatoon and Mohammad Shakeel dead. All of them are aged between 12 to 14 years.

Six of the injured were admitted to a government hospital here. The other three whose condition was state to be critical were referred to Patna Medical College Hospital.
