“We would be adding flights to Gaya and Varanasi, effective from October 30. We would be operating Bangkok - Gaya- Varanasi - Bangkok three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday with B- 737-400 aircraft with a seating capacity of 147 seats. There would be 12 seats in Royal Silk Class (Business Class) and 135 seats in economy classm,” said the general manager of the Thai Airways, Viroj Sirihorachai.
Talking to mediapersons here on Friday, the GM said that Thai Airways aimed at starting operations to three new destinations in India. These destinations are Varanasi - Gaya (Bihar) and Hyderabad (AP). Another new destination to Thai’s network to India - Hyderabad, would also commence from 30th October operating A300-600 thrice a week (Monday), Wednesday and Friday) non - stop to Bangkok.
Thai Airways would then be operating to eight cities with 40 departures from India.
