While confirming the news, a crime branch officer who is investigating the scam, said Peer was shifted as he had been in crime branch's custody for 15 days.

"The crime branch cannot keep him in custody for more than 15 days, so he has been shifted to central jail on judicial remand," the officer said.

The crime branch had established that Peer had taken `60 lakh from a broker to leak the question papers of CET-2012 a day before the scheduled examination, in a status report filed in the court on Friday.
