Four Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist shot dead

Security forces shot dead four terrorists of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit during a gunbattle in Anantnag district.

Security forces on Thursday shot dead four militants of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit during a gunbattle in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.

The militants were killed in the encounter which began last evening in Kulgam area of the district and ended early on Thursday, the sources said.

The slain militants, all local residents of Kulgam, have been identified as Mudassir Ahmad Dar, Rayees Ahmad Dar, Shiraz Ahmad Lone and Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, they said.

Four AK-47 rifles, 21 magazines, 212 rounds, four under barrel grenade launchers launchers were recovered from the house in which the ultras were hiding, they said.
