The incident took place last night when two unknown miscreants hurled four bombs. The bombs exploded at a place where two elderly women were sitting and a child and another youth were passing by, police said.

The injured were admitted to the sub divisional hospital at Bhanajanagar and their condition was stated to be out of danger, sources said.

“We suspected the miscreants hurled bombs to terrorise the people”, said Inspector in charge, Bhanjanagar A K Barik.

At least three such blasts took place in Bhanjanagar town and its adjoining areas in the last two days.

On Saturday night, blasts occurred in the town and nearby Muzagada area. No one was however, hurt in the earlier blast, police said.

Police said at least four persons were arrested in connection with the bomb blast at Muzagada, while no one was arrested in the blasts at Bhanjanagar. Search operation had been launched to nab the miscreants involved in the incident.
