Four members of a Dalit family were shot dead by unidentified assailants at village Bheria under Harnaut police station, police said on Thursday.

The gunmen stormed the house of one Chandar Jamadar at around 10:30 pm on Wednesday night and sprayed the family members with a hail of bullets.

Chandar Jamadar (50), his wife Tunuruma Devi (45), Anand Jamadar (40) and his wife Babita (35) were killed on the spot, sources said.
