"Crude oil price has gone up in the international market and the price hike on diesel, domestic LPG and kerosene was inevitable and was taken after serious discussions," he told reporters on the sidelines of a function in Bangalore.

On the bilateral talks between India and Pakistan, he opined that such discussions were the only way forward to resolve various issues.
