Gangster Act slapped on BSP MLA

The Gangster Act has been slapped on BSP MLA Bhagwan Sharma and eight others, who are in jail, for allegedly abducting 14 Block Development Committee members during election to local bodies in Uttar Pradesh recently.

"The Gangster Act has been slapped on the MLA and eight others for their alleged involvement in kidnapping and illegal confinement of BDC members during election to a local body in Bulandshahar district," a Home department official said here.

Sharma represents Dibai seat in the state assembly.
