The two, watchmen with the SAI Northern Centre, Chandigarh, have also been directed to go on leave to prevent reporters from approaching them.

“As the news appeared in today’s newspaper, a SAI official visited Gill’s house and told Raj Singh, who was on duty at that time, to leave the house and asked him not to come to office for couple of days,” said a source.

Deputy Director at the Northern Centre, V.S. Chauhan, said, “Both have gone on casual leave for two-three days.”

Asked if they had been forced to take casual leave, Chauhan replied, “They have some personal work at home, that’s why they have taken leave.”

When asked if they would be going to Gill’s house after returning from leave, Chauhan said, “They will be joining office only.”
