Girl ousted for sex with three!
A young woman in Muzaffarnagar was allegedly raped several times by her second husband and his two brothers and later forced to feel guilty for sex with three men.
A young woman in Muzaffarnagar was allegedly raped several times by her second husband and his two brothers and later forced to leave the locality after the Panchayat announced that she had soiled the area's reputation.
To make matters worse, Bhagwati (the woman in question) was forced to feel guilty for having sex with three men. She was further asked to pay a fine for not being able to defend her reputation.
Bhagwati's first husband died three and half years ago. Since then she had been living with her two kids.
Sometime ago, she lodged a complaint with the Senior Superintendent of Police that she was forced to marry Sukha Singh after the death of her first husband and that she did not regard the man as her husband.
She also alleged that Sukha had raped her several times. His brothers, Shyam and Jaipal, were party to the crime. But the police did not take any action against the rapists and when the matter was presented to the Panchayat, a whopping fine was imposed on Bhagwati.
However, the matter has now been taken over by the State Commission for Women. Although, the three men have been arrested, Bhagwati is now missing. It is being suspected that she has been kidnapped.
