Girls and their 'stuff'
Nitasha Sharma discusses how some girls flaunt their assets to attain great heights.india Updated: Feb 02, 2007 19:42 IST
Well! I'm not lying and it's really very true. One of my close friends actually did this in order to earn a good salary…
To describe Tanya I will use just three words - witty, hot and sexy.
She has a good face and a good figure too. But I never thought she'd use it this way.
She's my college buddy and works for a private firm, earning a decent salary. We happened to meet after a good many years during our college alumni meet.
There she told me she had been promoted and that she was earning thrice of what she started out with and that too, within just a year.
This freaked me out. I thought this bombshell must have worked really hard to reach where she was. Immediately the 'green-eyed monster' reared its ugly head and I felt a twinge of jealousy.
Later on, when I discussed it with another friend, Pranav, who works in the same company, he had a different story to narrate, which actually gave me goose bumps.
Tanya had a new boss sometime ago. And he was married. But if good looks are criteria for popularity, I have heard he is not even close to it.
But Tanya was undeterred. She left out no chance to woo him. Very soon, it developed into a full-fledged affair. But mistake it not, it was not a love affair.
Later on, the truth came out. Tanya actually slept with her boss. Though such incidents are pretty common today, what shocked me was that the man actually fell in love with Tanya and decided to abandon his wife for this damsel. On Tanya's part though, it was a well thought-out plan to raise her career graph.
Even more shocking was that Tanya quickly moved on in life, making the 'boss' realize that the whole affair was a sham and that he was cruelly used.
For a long time, I had thought such stories existed only in films. But then, this opened my eyes and I realized that money talks.
What I now want to know is, how cool is it to use your body and flaunt yourself to woo a handsome amount? Is it your dignity that matters to you, or is it worldly wealth and ostentation? An answer has to be found.
