Monserratte, instrumental in downfall of BJP-led state government in 2005, submitted his resignation to Chief Minister Pratapsingh Rane, sources close to him said.

But, when contacted, Rane feigned ignorance about the resignation and said he was yet to receive any such letter from the minister who is also holding Housing and Provedoria ministries.
