God and the Rubber Ball

It was my long cherished dream to meet God. It happens to be a life long dream for many, but they often get to meet God only after the final breath. Probably because I am luckier than you all, I met Him a little earlier in time, on a Sunday afternoon, a dream like true experience. Since God asked me to share this experience with you and considering the fact that most of you may not be able to meet him before your final breath, I do not mind narrating the episode. It goes something like this?.

The ambience was diffused to begin with and the contours barely visible. Slowly the light seeped in and I could see somebody sitting on a throne. Then it all became well lit and I could see the God himself. Surprisingly there was nobody else. He was alone!

“It is very lonely here, you see,” God initiated the conversation. I said, “I could see that...” and added gleefully, that I knew what loneliness meant, since I was already in a senior executive appointment.I had prepared a questionnaire for God,and immediately got down to questioning.

“What is the secret of success?” I asked.

God stared back at me, then smiled and stretched his hand. “It is here,” he replied. As he opened his palm, I could see a small black round thing. It was a rubber ball!

“A-rubber ball?” I exclaimed, half in askance.

“Yes, it is there with you too!”

I opened my palm and I did find the rubber ball in it! “I didn't know, I had it,” I defended vehemently.

“It is there with everyone,” He said, “The thing is, you got to know THAT”.

Moral No.I. Success is an attitude, in your own hands.
