Goddess gets deglamourised!
She may be hot, sultry and vivacious. But not anymore! Model-turned-actress Neha Dhupia does a reality check on her looks. She feels her sexy looks are behind her downfall!
So, what brought about a change in the glam goddess' outlook? Let's see what she has to say...
"I think days of hot, fleshy flicks are now over. People don't want to see such films. So, I think I am fortunate that I took a right decision of not exposing at the right time. Julie was a beautiful film but I think Sheeha had an overindulgence of sex in the story line. So, now I have decided to stick to some good roles and thankfully there is no dearth of that," explains Neha.
Sheeshawas a complete disaster that proved to be a turning point in her career. It set the actress thinking on how to improvise her career graph. She says, "Now, I realized that if would have done well on the box office it would have created a huge problem for me in my career. The unfortunate part of the film was that it was an overdose of sex, which might have typecast my image and I would have been flooded with sleazy roles. But it did not happen that way at all. In fact, my career took a positive turn from there."
Emphasising more on her de-glam, Neha talks about her look in forthcoming film Chup Chup ke. She says, "Kareena Kapoor is my co-star in this film and I am playing the character of a bubbly and very talkative girl. While Kareena is playing the role of a dumb girl who falls in love with Shahid kapoor, there is no unnecessary exposure in the film on my part and I have also opted for a completely de-glamourised, less make-up look.
