Speaking on the occasion Dr GS Sinha, consultant of Nazreth Hospital pointed out that the factors like environmental pollution and high stress levels at work can make asthma worse. He advocated for the use of advance medical treatment to control asthma to lead a normal life. Chest expert Dr Ashish Tandon said that there was need to accept the reality of asthma and to work with the doctor both to monitor and to treat the disease.

Paediatrician Dr Avindra Agrawal said that small kids were more prone to Asthma owing to increasing pollution and thus monitoring of asthma was very important in children.

The doctors also demonstrated Peak Flow Master, a device launched by Cipla to check the condition of the lungs. The doctors said that peak flow master was as easy to use as a thermometer and the readings can reveal the severity of asthma and exhorted patients to insist on regular monitoring of their condition with help of the device.
