Govinda Ahuja, popularly known as Chichi, was born on December 21, 1963. He is 5' 8" and his family consists of wife Suneeta, father Arun Kumar Ahuja (producer), mother Nirmala Devi (singer) and brother Kirti Kumar (producer, director, actor).

Govinda started his film career with illzam but was recognised as a good actor in Hathya. The shift however, came with David Dhawan's Aankhein. Govinda's image went for a complete overhaul. Almost all the movies that he teamed up with director David Dhawan were box-office hits.
He is a one-man entertainment show. Dancing talents were already embed in him, but improvement in acting and his efforts to streamline his physical appearance has made him No.1. Govinda's comic roles took him to the heart of many Hindi movie lovers. A lot of hard work has gone into making Govinda.
He has gone out of his way to find ways and means to get his near and dear ones into films. He also helps all those he believes deserve help. The masses love him because they identify with him.
