Jamuna Devi said the Congress government during its tenure had given adequate power to farmers for irrigation by cutting down supply in urban areas. Farmers at present are deprived of power, she added.

She admitted that the previous Congress government failed to rise to the expectations of the people on power, water and road fronts and faced the consequences.

She charged Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan with ignoring power crisis in State, as he did not feel it necessary to review the issue even once after assuming the charge.

She said it was the government ruled by the bureaucrats and those in power have no say in decision-making.
