Gujarat Govt issues notice to Aamir

The notice says the actor violated the Wildlife Act during making of Lagaan.

The Gujarat Forest Department has sent a notice to actor Aamir Khan for allegedly violating the Wildlife Act during the making of his film Lagaan eight years ago when he had filmed a chinkara without its permission in the Kutch district.

The department sent a notice on Monday to his whole production team for filming the chinkara without its permission, Forest officials said on Tuesday.

The department has given him a week's time to reply to the notice.

Aamir and his team were in parts of Kutch district for months for the shooting of Lagaan.
