ideology" in Gujarat elections has spelt a doom for secular forces.

Commenting on the poll outcome in Gujarat, the VHP General Secretary said while the state has turned out to be a "graveyard for secular forces," Congress has become a party like Muslim League.

"Ideologically, it is a victory for Hindutva and .... Of BJP in Gujarat elections. It is a personal victory for Chief Minister Narendra Modi," he said.

Togadia said VHP supported those who accepted its line of thinking.

Asserting that the poll results would have countrywide ramifications, he said the political fallout of the Gujarat elections would affect the state of affairs in New Delhi.

Refuting charges that VHP was responsible for creating disturbances, he asserted that there was no untoward incident when he addressed a number of public meetings.

Asked what was the difference between VHP and BJP, Togadia asserted VHP would carry forward its agenda of establishing "Hindu Rashtra," while BJP was interested only in power.
