The residents protested against the terror attack on a State Road Transport Corporation bus carrying tourists from Delhi and Jammu, official sources said.

Fourteen persons, including five tourists, were injured in Wednesday's grenade attack at Gulmarg, which was the first terrorist strike in the highly-secured area in many years.

The protestors shouted slogans against the "perpetrators of the attacks on tourists. The aim of the attackers is to derail the revival of tourism industry in the state."

All the business establishments remained closed in Tangmarg and Gulmarg to protest the attack. Traffic to and from Gulmarg was also suspended as the people had blocked the road, the sources said.

Tangmarg and Gulmarg areas depend mostly on tourism for their livelihood as the Hill resort is frequented by tourists all round the year.
