Hariharan chosen for Jeevan TV award

The renowned singer has been chosen for the 'Jeevan-P Jayachandran Award' instituted by the private Malayalam channel.

Renowned singer Hariharan has been chosen for the 'Jeevan-P Jayachandran Award' instituted by private Malayalam channel Jeevan TV.

Announcing the name at a press conference here today, Isac Joseph, Director, Jeevan Telecasting Corporation Limited, said the award carries a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, a citation and a shield.

Isac said eminent singer KS Chitra had won the 'Jeevan-P Jayachandran Award' in 2005.

The award would be given to Hariharan in the third week of May, during the channel's fourth anniversary celebrations, at Thiruvananthapuram.

A Musical programme by renowned singers will be held as part of the anniversary celebrations, he said.
