Haryana clocks new record in power supply

Haryana power distribution companies made a new record by supplying highest ever 1,536.43 lakh units of energy. Power distribution companies supplied over 1,536 lakh units of power yester day and it is a new record of power supply in the state, a government spokesman said here today.

Power distribution companies supplied over 1,536 lakh units of power yester day and it is a new record of power supply in the state, a government spokesman said here today.

He said the previous record of supply and load was of 1,528 lakh units and 7,188 MW on June 22.

He claimed that the utilities supplied power for 23.35 hours to urban consumers, 23.44 hours to industries, 10.06 hours to agriculture and 13.51 hours to the rural domestic sector against the fixed schedule of 20 hours, 20.30 hours, eight hours and 14 hours, respectively.
