Hasselhoff was smitten by Princess Di!

Former Baywatch star David Hasselhoff was immediately attracted to Princess Diana when they first met and says she was "smitten" by him.

According to Contactmusic.com, Hasselhoff first met Diana in 1993 and claims there was a strong physical attraction between them even though she was married to Prince Charles at that time.

He says: "I felt like she was a little girl caught up in this whirlwind. I saw this little girl who just wanted to be a person, but was caught in this shell. She was smitten with me since I am so tall. I was smitten with her since she was so tall."

When asked if there was a sexual attraction he adds enthusiastically, "Absolutely!"
