HC holds MCD chief guilty of criminal contempt

The Delhi High Court on Monday held the Municipal Commissioner and the Chief Law Officer of MCD guilty of criminal contempt for de-sealing illegal farmhouses in the capital which were earlier ordered closed by the court.

A division bench of Acting Chief Justice Vijender Jain and Justice Kailash Gambhir asked the two officials to file their replies and directed them to appear in person before the court on August 21.
