HCA enter GG Dutt semis
HARYANA CRICKET Association (HCA) beat Collage Group (CG) by six wickets to enter the semifinal of the Goswami Ganesh Dutt tournament at the St. Stephen's ground. Put in, Collage scored 195 for nine in 40 overs with contributions from Ashish Sharma and Joginder Singh (55 each).
Opener Abhinav Kataria chipped in with 22. Captain and Man-of-the-Match Sunny Singh (68 off 64 balls) and opener Vishal Saini (47 off 56 balls) ensured HCA overhauled the target in 35.2 overs. While Abir Lavas's 31 also came handy.
Collage's strike bowler Waqar Ahmad had a bad day as the fielders let him down with misfields.
Collage Group 195/9 in 40 overs (A. Sharma 55, J. Singh 55*; D. Singh 3-39) lost to HCA 196/4 in 35.2 overs (S. Singh 68, V. Saini 47; A, Ahmad 1-42) by 6 wkts.
