At the tender age of twelve when most children prefer the playground he took a vow for social service and tapasya. Having lived in caves and jungles in various difficult terrains his long spiritual journey is now bearing fruits. The septuagenarian saint has set up Sarvmangla Adhyatma Yog Vidyapeeth at several places in the country.

Twentythree such centres are functioning in Bihar alone where besides religion the stress is laid on spreading awareness about health, education and culture.

While talking to HT Allahabad Live in his camp behind the police lines in the ongoing Magh Mela, he said, his mind got diverted from all worldly pleasures at the age of 12. This was the time he decided to leave home and dedicate his life in the service of god.

'Yeh bhi to ghar hai. Jahan jaata hoon wahan ghar hota hai', was his reply to a question as to whether he ever feels home-sick. The whole of his ancestral village has become his follower. Even his real brother has become his shishya, informed a follower.

After leaving home the young seer headed straight to Kamakhya temple. Following a long tapasya he was inspired to visit various other siddhpeeths in the country. Having attained siddhi at each of the siddhpeeth he was inspired to set up a permanent ashram for the service of the religion and society at Simariya Ghat in Bihar's Begusarai district.

Sarvmangla Adhyatma Peeth was first established here. He also runs an ashram in Haridwar where Ayurvedic medicines are manufactured and distributed to the
people.

In Patna he established Sarvmangla Ma Sidheshwari Dham and organised the Ganga Yagya. To further his work he now plans to establish Sarvamangala peeth at every important city throughout the country in furtherance of his mission.

One such ashram has already been established on the Bank Road in Kydganj in Allahabad. The construction of a temple in Lucknow is in its final stage.
At the Sangam he performs yagya every year for world peace.
