According to the weather office, Lucknow recorded a maximum of 41.2 degree C, which was two notches above normal while the minimum temperature was 22.8--one degree above normal, they said.

Agra was the hottest in the state with 42.6, they said.

Weather in the next 24 hours will remain dry in the state, the Met department forecast said.
