Government observer, S.K. Mendiratta, had written to HI interim president, Vidya Stokes, asking her to release the list of official representatives of all affiliated state units so that the nomination process could be started from Saturday.

The delay in releasing the list has raised concerns in hockey circles with former India captain Pargat Singh alleging some underhand tactics.

Stay in Rajasthan

Jaipur: The Rajasthan High Court on Friday granted a stay on the formation of an ad-hoc hockey body in the state, which has been given affiliation by Hockey India for its February 7 election.

Ignoring the 60-year-old Rajasthan Hockey Association (RHA), HI had given affiliation to the newly formed ad-hoc body on January 10.
