The court further directed that no coercive measures would be taken against these constables in the meantime.

This order was passed by Justice VK Shukla on a writ petition filed by four SOG constables.

To recall, five SOG constables who were transferred to Jhansi, filed a writ petition requesting the court to set aside the same on the ground of malafide.

They also levelled several allegations against the SSP, Allahabad, in their writ petition.

On Wednesday, the counsel for the petitioner Sadhna Upadhyaya contended before the court that the transfer of one of the petitioner namely Ramesh Chandra Tiwari had been cancelled on the recommendation by the DIG.

Thus, case of rest of the petitioners also fell on the same footing and hence, their transfer should also be cancelled.

On this, the court passed the above-mentioned direction.
