Early arrival: Come 15 minutes before your appointment time. It will give you time to savour the welcome drink and soak in the atmosphere. It will give you time to check in and get into your robe and slippers etc.

Calm and composed: Stay quiet during your treatment for a calming effect. Talking about your problems with the therapist will not relax your nerves. But if you want a certain kind of massage, music, room temperature or light, communicate that with your therapist before the treatment.

Tip wise: Do not forget to tip. It shows your appreciation for your therapist. Like hotels, spas are also a service industry and the rule is 10% of the charge of the service availed. If you are satisfied with the service, either hand it over to the therapist or put it in the tip box.

Dressing details: Apart from the areas to be massaged, the rest of the body has to be covered; you do not have to be fully naked for a therapy. All spas provide towels which the client can drape and only reveal the parts which have to be massaged.

Skip big meals: Try to avoid heavy meals before a massage.
