Indrani Dasgupta, model: Delhi is the city which is an owner’s pride and neighbour’s envy. We have the best of all. However, the best part is the standard of living, which is a matter of pridefor us. Delhiites can boast of living in big and beautiful houses. And yes, the city also gets a share of all the four seasons. For those who love adventure, the city is strategically placed giving us an opportunity to head for week end breaks with ease.

Shah Rukh Khan, actor: “Delhi is just beautiful. Especially during winter, the city blooms to glory. And don’t forget the Delhiites. They are bindaas.”

Amir Raza Hussain, theatre personality: I love Delhi because of its soul. The city could easily boast of better hospitality than New York, older history than London and equal if not better heritage than Rome. Not to forget the best of the cuisines. It is simply the best.

Niret Alva, filmmaker: “There’s no place like Delhi. Be it the splendour of the seasons or the rich cultural heritage, this is the best. It is one of the four metros that is changing very fast.

The city works hard, but has the energy to party even harder. Be it the Himalayas or the deserts, one can enjoy the best of such tourist spots without making an effort.”

Palash Sen, singer: “Delhi means everything to me. My song Dilli sums it up — “Dillimera pata, yeh sheher meri jaan hai, meri shaan hai.” The air, water and soil of this place is unique and beautiful.

This is where I begin from and come back to, always.” Rohit Bal, fashion designer: “Lutyens cast a magic spell on the face of the map of India by designing Delhi. My work, my social circle keep me confined to Delhi and I simply love being here for the broad and wide roads and the lush green stretches. Delhi is changing fast and this is the reason why I chose to be a part of this city. Saddi Dilli will soon be ‘wow’.

Ajay Bijli, entrepreneur: “I live in Delhi by default. The city has contributed in making me what I am today. Be it education or business acumen, it has given me all. From my first break in business which involved revamping Priya Cinema to making multiplexes, the city and its people have helped me grow. There’s something special about Delhi. It gives me warmth and familiarity and I can’t live anywhere else, but here.”

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, socialite: “For someone like me, who belongs to a fast-paced Mumbai, Delhi came as a sweet surprise. It offers plenty of peace and tranquillity. Apart from other things, I love the city for its winter. The concept of dressing-up in layers and going out is great fun. For those who are young at heart, it is the most happening city with the best places to eat, drink and make merry. Delhi rocks and so do Delhiites!”
