Huge cache of arms recovered in J&K

A terrorist hideout in Baramulla district has been busted and security forces have unearthed a huge cache of explosives, including 32 Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL) grenades and three 60-mm mortor bombs.

Acting on a tip off, security forces busted the hideout near village Cherhar-Watlab in Baramulla on Wednesday, a defence spokesperson said on Thursday.

Thirty-two Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL) grenades, three 60-mm mortor bombs, three bomb fuses, five hand grenades, an anti-personnel mine and three remote controls were recovered from the hideout, the official said.

A huge quantity of personal equipment was also seized, he added.
