Many of the bodies were found floating in the Ganga river between Rishikesh to Haridwar, said an official.

Dileep Jawalkar, district magistrate, Rudraprayag, said bad weather was hampering the work of recovering bodies at the Kedarnath shrine.

Former minister dies
Karnal: Former Haryana minister and senior Congress leader Tejender Pal Singh Mann, 75, died in New Delhi on Sunday, a month after his wife and two close relatives died in the Uttarakhand disaster.

Mann’s wife Pusha, brother-in-law Jasbir Lamba and Lamba’s wife Veena, had been on a pilgrimage to Kedarnath. Efforts made to trace them were in vain and Mann had been suffering from depression.

On Sunday night, a day before the missing persons were to be declared dead by the Uttarakhand government, he suffered a cardiac arrest at his son’s farmhouse in Chhatarpur.
