Hundreds of Taslimuddin's supporters resign

According to party's district working president Usmal Gani, hundreds of RJD workers, ranging from panchayat to district level, quit the party en block in support of Taslimuddin.

"We have decided to go with the decision of our leader Taslimuddin," he said and claimed that the RJD had lost its base in the district.

Taslimuddin, who was the national vice-president of RJD, had resigned last month charging party supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav with "virtually usurping" the organisation.
