"We congratulate Zardari on being elected president of Pakistan," Hurriyat chairman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq told reporters in Srinagar.

Farroq recalled his recent meeting with Zardari and said

the Pakistan People's Party leader had assured him that there was "no change" in the ruling party's policy on Kashmir.
