Police found Prahlad Singh from Govindpuram area of Ghaziabad on Wednesday. Singh’s wife Pinki Singh (38) had lodged an FIR against five persons on June 10 on the orders obtained from a Ghaziabad court.

Singh told the police, “I was never abducted and no one tried to kill me. I am mentally unstable and my wife wanted me to transfer my property in her name and hence, lodged a false complaint against my brothers and cousins.”

“We do not have cordial relations. I was just staying with my relatives as I feared for my life,” he added further.

The reason behind the entire episode is said to be the nine bigha land that Singh transferred in the name of his cousin Harish Singh, also one of the persons named in the FIR lodged at Kavi Nagar police station.

Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Raghubir Lal said that the FIR was lodged after Singh's wife approached a Ghaziabad court.

“We have recovered the victim and we are writing to the court that his wife lodged a false FIR against five innocent men. She represented wrong facts before the court in order to lodge her FIR,” SSP said.

“We have called her from Meerut for further investigations, but she is not co-operating. Further investigations are on,” SSP added.
