The sultry Sameera Reddy has been away from the media for a while. When you ask her why, pat comes the reply, "I'm not a very media savvy person. I don't like to be in news for the wrong reasons or hog the limelight for just about anything. I'm not in that league."

An actor's delight:
"Mira Nair signed me for a film on HIV after she, Vishal Bhardwaj and Santosh Sivan saw my Bangla film Kaalpurush. I'm blessed to work with a director like Mira. She is an actor's delight."

Going bongway:
"Doing Bong films has been like a crash course. I wanted to explore my skill as an actor and learn more. There is so much more to do in Bengali films as ? Compared to our Bollywood ones

My first love, Masala:
"I love our typical masala films. I love it when rickshawallahs enjoy my songs. I can't do away with latka-jhatka numbers. Masala is me. After all. I am the desi Lara Crott And what's wrong with that?"

Bye Bye Love:
"All the rumours started when I met Sanjay (Gupta, director) at a party. There's no truth in the gossip. He's my past, a bygone. No point in talking about it now."
