A statement released on Wednesday said, “The report creates an impression that I have helped my son-in-law, Girish Vyas to get the contract of constructing and maintaining the underground parking lots near Mahatma Phule Market (Crawford Market) and Regal Cinema. I, therefore, wish to make it clear that I have not helped Mr Vyas to get this contract in any manner whatsoever. I have not made any phone call or spoken to anybody on a personal level recommending him for this contract.”
It is wrong to say Vyas has been given the contract due to any kind of political pressure directly or indirectly from my side, he added.
