Fardeen Khan came calling on his Delhi-based sister, painter Laila Khan Rajpal, recently.
But it was an official trip — the star had come to announce the launch of fashion brands that Laila and her husband, Rohit Rajpal are set to launch by the end of the year. Fardeen will be the brand ambassador and would also provide inputs on design elements.

Marital bliss:
Is all that weight a result of marital bliss, we wonder? The actor laughs: “Yes, I have to shed these extra pounds. I was virtually on a honeymoon for six months, so what do you expect?” Marriage also seems to have tamed him.

He explains, “Now I love to stay home rather than go out partying. Natasha is a great company and I enjoy every moment with her.”

Back to Bollywood:
After a hiatus, Fardeen is going to be back on the screen soon with his forthcoming releases like Ram Gopal Varma’s Darling, Sajid Nadiadwala’s Hey Baby and Meghna Gulzar’s Baat Pukki. And what about the remake of Qurbani?

Fardeen is not willing to share much but says that it will be high on style. “Dad is such a stylish guy and it reflects in his movies. Whether it is costumes, location or the picturisation, FK Films are loaded with style.”

So, matching the oomph factor of the original Qurbani would be some task? “You bet, but then challenges like these spur me,” he says and adds, “Next time when we meet, all the extra pounds will be gone!” We bet.
