The Indian Air Force is sending 196 air warriors to Sudan to take part in United Nations-led peace peeking operations.
Led by Group Captain Anil Tiwari, the contingent will leave for Kadugli on Saturday.
Air Vice Marshal DC Kumaria, assistant chief of air staff, briefed the air warriors and urged them to set high standards as ambassadors of peace.
Wing Commander DK Taneja will command the squadron of six Mi-17 helicopters in Sudan.
